We are each travelers of this world. We are headed somewhere
every day. Sometimes we have the adventurer’s spirit to explore, to see how far
we can get, how high we can climb and along the way, sometimes we must change
trains. We have our own freedom which way to go, what things to choose and what
chances and opportunities to take. And also, along the way, sometimes the rail
we ride gets off track. These are accidents, trials, hardships, or
circumstances. Life happens. Oftentimes, we tread to the unknown; we tend to be
overwhelmed of our fears. We get tired, weary, confused and sometimes wander.
We lose our way. The weight of life presses down.
But we
have to remember that along our journey to this road of life, if we always
choose the easy way, asking for the peaceful valleys, we will never see God’s
power displayed to enable us to take a mountain. Seek out the mountains, and we
will witness God doing things through our life that can be explained only by
His mighty presence.
In the
storm and under pressure, remember that God not only works all things for our
own good, but He also redeems our lives and works through us all as well. If we
are able by God’s grace to receive the truth that every single things in our
lives will work together for good, and the kind of traveler we are will
transform us not only to embrace our circumstances but ultimately the purpose
of our lives, “to become more like Christ”. J
Let us allow ourselves to go for mountains in our lives to see
the greater glory and grace of our Lord. To take every hardships and trials as
challenges and opportunity to grow and be more closer to Our God.
